Geling Yan’s Arrival Completes the Kustendorf Jury
Geling Yan, Chinese novelist and screenwriter, arrived on the first day of the Tenth International Film and Music Festival.
She was greeted by Maja Kusturica with traditional Serbian welcome of bread, salt and honey brandy.
Geling Yan is here for the first time; a film based on her book and directed by Zhang Yang, The Flowers of War, had previously been shown at Küstendorf in 2013.
Geling Yan is here as Jury president, alongside Christian Valsamidis, intellectual property law specialist, and Nikola Ležaić, Serbian film writer, director and producer.
