Lav Diaz Arrives for Kustendorf
Lav Diaz, director from the Philippines, arrived in Mećavnik a day before the opening of the Tenth International Film and Music Festival Küstendorf.
Emir Kusturica, the Festival director, welcomed Lav Diaz in front of the St. Sava Church, where he was served traditional Serbian offerings of bread and salt.
Lav Diaz is the special guest of this year’s Küstendorf. Last year he won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival for Woman Who Left, and his film A Lullaby to the Sorrowful Mistery was screend at the festival in Berlin. These two films will be shown at Küstendorf, and Lav Diaz will also hold a workshop with the participants of the Festival.
