The film is dedicated to the memory of the untimely deceased Korean director Kim Ki-duk. He spent the last autumn of his life in Tallinn, where he was preparing for the shooting of his new film Clouds, Rain, Snow and Fog. After his death, the colleagues and friends of the director decided to create a documentary based on original video and audio materials about the last years of his life. The film consists of several short stories. According to this principle, Kim Ki-duk built the narrative in his films. The basis of the film is the materials of the chronicle, in which the director tells his paradoxical action-packed biography. The plots of Kim Ki-duk’s films often contained facts about his biography. The story of his life path is illustrated by shots from his films. Shootings took or take place in Estonia. Latvia. Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Italy, Korea and Serbia. Well-known filmmakers were ready to share their memories about Kim. Our crew are still seeking funding. We expect the world premiere of the film in September, 2023 in Venice.

Tatjana Mühlbayer is a producer, director and scriptwriter born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Between 1984 and 1987 she studied at the Producers Department at All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow. She worked on Zaza Urushadze’s feature fiction film Tangerines (2013) in the capacity of co-producer and producer of development. The film received both Oscar and Golden Globe nominations in the Best film in foreign language category. As a director, she debuted with Farewell tour (2015), a documentary that was screened at many international film festivals and received several awards. Creative documentary Silk Strings (2022) is the most recent film she directed. In the same year Tatjana produced Kim Ki-duk’s testamentary feature Call of God, screened at the Venice film festival. L’Enfant Terrible, her documentary about the extraordinary South Korean film director, is currently in-production.
