This film was created from a unique and unexpected angle, from the experience of the author who is simultaneously a Serbian director and an officer of the Swiss army. It was created to reveal to many that in the land of chocolate, banks and cheese, 150,000 Swiss have rifles and military equipment.

Director's Biography
Luka Popadić

Born in 1980. Luka Popadić’s films are as varied and surprising as his biography. The Swiss with Serbian roots returned to his parents’ home country in 2009, and graduated with a Master’s degree in Film Directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade in 2014. As an assistant director he worked in Chicago and Berlin before directing his own films. After several award winning short films, My Swiss Army is his first documentary feature. His short films were twice awarded at Kustendorf . He won the Bronze Egg in 2014 for the film Baits and Hooks, while Merry-Go-Round won the Vilko Filač Award for the best cinematography in 2015. The film Real News was part of the Kustendorf Competition Programme in 2022.
