Synopsis

The daily life of Mihajlo, a factory worker in a neglected industrial town. Testimonies about his life are given by the people around him. At times, these people are seen as part of Mihajlo’s daily routine, but after the character leaves the stage, their voices remain as the narrator. What they don’t know is that Mihajlo obsessively steals tools from the factory and suffers from lost love. And they can’t anticipate what is going to happen one morning.

Director's Biography
Vladimir Vulević
Vladimir Vulević was born in 1984 in Priboj, Yugoslavia. He studied world literature University of Belgrade Philological Faculty and film studies at HFBK Hamburg, attending Angela Schanelec’s class. During his studies in Hamburg he directed short film Larva, Pupa (2018) and received DAAD Prize for Outstanding Achievements of International Students, as well as the final scholarship of the Hamburg Office of Education. He went on to direct short films Your Rooms, White and Purple (2019) and How I Beat Glue and Bronze (2020). He published two verse dramas, Remembrance from Formaldehyde (2010) and Ananke Ferdidurke (2012).
