Synopsis
Karoline is a confident, modern woman. She has an open relationship with her husband, a successful theater director. They share ther daughter’s upbringing on an equal basis. But while things are going well privately, they are bumpy professionally: Karoline is curating her first major exhibition, but her boss Martha is not really satisfied. When Karoline goes for a drink with the artist Matic, a night begins that raises many questions.

Oona von Maydell was born in 1985 in Germany. She holds a Bachelors Degree in painting from the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main under Prof. Michael Krebber and a master in Curatorial Studies from the Goethe Universität Frankfurt. She also lived and worked in Rennes (Bretagne) for one year where she studied at the Beaux Arts de Rennes as an Erasmus student with a scholarship by L´Office de franco-allemand pour la Jeunesse. In 2011, she worked as curatorial assistant with Daniel Birnbaum in Stockholm at the Modern Musset, on an exhibition about Marcel Duchamp. She was supported by scholarships from DAAD and the Deutschland stipendium. In 2016 she realized here first short film La Ruche as Director, writer and producer. The premiere took place at the Shortfilm Competition Max Ophüls Filmfest, 2018.
Since 2016 she has been studying Scriptwriting at the Filmakademie of Baden-Württemberg. In 2017 she wrote and directed Jim together with Ludwig Meck (Producer). The premiere took place the Max Ophüls Shortlist, Max Ophüls Filmfest, 2018. In 2018 she developed screenplays of Dévier and Plume - a short movie in cooperation with la fémis Paris. Both films premiered at Max Ophüls Filmfest 2020, in short film competition.
Since 2006 she also works as an actress in various film projects.
