Synopsis

Eva, who is 32, has been living in Turkey for three years and has no contact with her family living in Germany. One day, her sister Christina, who is 38, calls and tells her their father has died. Eva travels to Cologne to visit her father’s grave, where she encounters a surprising circumstance. Eva finds herself in a moral conflict, torn between her needs and the needs of her family, and she has to make a decision.

Director's Biography
Halit Ruhat Yildiz

Halit Ruhat Yildiz was born in 1987 in Bingöl, Turkey. Since 2012, he has been studying at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and lives in Germany. His first short film Annunciation (2017) was nominated for the Student Academy Awards 2017 in the category Best Foreign Film and premiered at the 50th Hof International Film Festival, broadcast on ARTE and WDR. Mitosis (2018) is his graduation film at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne which premiered at the 52nd Hof International Film Festival 2018. Ruhat is currently developing his debut feature film Eigengrau.
